Now the most important European Cup is done and dusted!
We have the other final...............
I dont mind it if Man City win, even for all the obscene money and then the loopholes Man city and its owners use to bypass FFP and general dodginess!!! You can't take it away from Pep and that side, as on the pitch they are perhaps the best in the world.
Never discount any opposition in a Cup final one-off game though, especially Italians! But reckon City will do it easy and a 3-0 or 4-0 is on the cards.

Watch the scenes back when Nicky Weaver saves that Penalty in the Play Offs , Champs league did not come close . Weird it makes you want to win trophies , but you don't want to be all dominate so you appreciate the good times more .

Stones was excellent in the position Pep had invented for him, in a team that would do bloody well against any top 3 national team,but, does Southgate know or understand what Stones role is at City, or will he just make him a central defender alongside Maguire?

It's a utd song about city. Last line being this is how it feels when your team wins nothing at all. Turned around by city fans with you signed Phil Jones we signed kun agreed.. its a good song and 2 fingers stool up towards the Borough of Trafford

First up. Well done City. Great achievement. Etc,etc,etc. But for the vast majority of the City supporters it would have been a sense of relief. It’s two less monkeys on their backs, they have too listen to. Sure the rest of the footballing fraternity now sees you at the very peak of the game. But as a fan. Nothing in going too make you feel as good as Aguero slotting home that title winner for that first Premiership trophy.?
Winning the Champions League is the end of a journey for City. Sergio Aguero 93rd minute winner. IS what supporting City is all about.!

I agree with what Swindon is saying plus our final was really the peripheral trophy of all the UEFA bollocks….unless the CL game is a classic it is overrun by the media and the actual occasion becomes shit…..

Not a great game, but the second half certainly had its moments. Nice for the Mancs to do the treble, but bloody hell, they rode their luck a bit and I ended up feeling a bit sorry for the Inter crowd.

Ok but even if they add the league cup next season it’s still not going to give them the same Euphoria as the season where they won their first champions league & beat Man Utd in the FA Cup final in the first ever Manchester derby final.
It’s just numbers at this point.

Oh yes they can because there is a quadruple to go for. City did not win the League Cup ( as I still call it ) rather spoils this “perfect season”.

Might seem like a strange thing to say but as far as meaningful victories and achievements, Man City and their fans have peaked.
Winning the treble, their first champions League win and beating Man Utd in the FA Cup. They can’t possibly top that.
Nothing they do in the future can have as much meaning or bring as much joy for their fans.
Winning the Premiership next season will be considered routine and just a good day rather than being special and euphoric.
The same kind of feeling Celtic fans have after yet another Treble.

They were asked to make their way to the ground 4 hours early to ensure getting in, Istanbul was like an oven all day and evening and the stadium was further away from the pitch than ours. Being the CL the cunt media wouldn’t get out the way of celebrations and let’s be honest they just have confidence in their team….we however were plotted up nicely in a good city for football where the stadium actually made for a good atmosphere just look at our players closeness to the stands and we’d saved up 40+ years of let down to win in the last minute…. if Carlsberg did cup wins…..

I’ll join the chorus on how underwhelming the celebrations were, and I had the exact same thought as a few of you lot have expressed…..if that’s what mega success gives you, I don’t want it.
Treat us mean to keep us keen.
Rodri was a bit more animated, no doubt because of his very well taken goal. Inversely similar, KdB looked utterly uninterested, I think because he made no real impact on the game.
Even though they won, City without KdB are a considerably lesser team. Nowhere near as scary.

Good of BT to allow the match for free. Inter a shade unlucky and they could/should have scrambled two goals to at least send the game into extra time.
Couple of observations, how nice to see a top game without any var interruption and is Haaland a flat track bully?
That City team with a Kane instead of Haaland would be better I think.

Oh come on Cheeze, you are meant to really like him and City, like most on here.
I admire the bloke, but agree I wouldn't mind him pissing off, unfortunately he seems to have found his spiritual in England and even picking up on the humour now, so can see him staying for a minimum another 2 years.
Apparently he has an ambition to manage Brazil in a world cup, his wife his Brazilian, the 2026 WC might be a little early though, so maybe 2030.
